About
Ana Reisens is a poet and writer from the United States currently based in Barcelona, Spain. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Threepenny Review, The Bombay Literary Magazine, Solarpunk Magazine, and more than sixty other journals and anthologies. She is the recipient of the Blue Earth Review Poetry Prize, the Sixfold Poetry Prize, and the Barbara Mandigo Kelly Peace Poetry Award, and has been nominated for both the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. She has also served as a reader for Mud Season Review.
She holds a PhD in Translation Studies, with a focus on film adaptation as a form of cross-cultural storytelling. She currently teaches creativity at a university in Barcelona and leads interdisciplinary workshops across Europe. Her teaching emphasizes play, presence, and the cultivation of creative expression across multiple domains.
